Arachova

Arachova, the 'alpine village of Greece,' is one of the country’s most cosmopolitan winter destinations without losing its authentic charm. Stone-paved alleys, traditional mansions, small cafés, and boutique shops create a unique atmosphere. The village’s history ties back to General Karaiskakis and the Greek War of Independence of 1821, while its iconic clock tower dominates the cliff. Highlights include the Skala Agarsiou steps and the Church of St. George. Arachova is also famous for its vibrant nightlife with après-ski bars, clubs, and restaurants, as well as for its gastronomy with local products such as the renowned Formaela cheese (PDO).

Archaeological Sites

Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was once the center of the ancient world. The Temple of Apollo, the Theater, the Stadium, and the Treasury of the Athenians coexist with the Tholos of Athena Pronaia in unmatched harmony. The Archaeological Museum of Delphi houses treasures such as the Charioteer, while the house of poet Angelos Sikelianos serves as a cultural center. Trails connect the archaeological site with the Corycian Cave, offering an experience that unites culture and nature.

Natural Activities

Parnassos Ski Resort, the largest in Greece, offers slopes for skiing and snowboarding, along with schools for all levels. In spring and summer, mountain trails are perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and exploring the rich flora. The international E4 trail crosses Parnassos, while the hike to the Corycian Cave blends myth with natural beauty.
